Terry Apala

Terry Alexandar Ejeh, professionally known as “Terry Apala," is a 37-year-old Afrobeat, hip-hop, and traditional Yoruba music singer.

Terry’s journey into the music industry was inspired by his growing up in Mushin, where he was exposed to diverse Nigerian sounds, with the greatest influence being traditional Yoruba rhythms and sounds, “Apala,” which he began expressing in church as part of a musical group. In 2014, he left the group and embarked on a solo career, and his trap mix “Champagne Shower” launched him into mainstream attention.

In 2016, he was nominated for Rookie of the Year at the 2016 Headies Awards and "Most Promising Act to Watch" at the 2016 Nigeria Entertainment Awards. In 2020, he released his first major musical project titled “Major Vibes,” a six-track EP, and following that, he has released 10 singles, including collaborations with artists like Mavo, Wizkid, and Bella Shmurda, among others. His most recent work has been on the newly released album “StarrGirl” by Ayra Starr, where he features on the intro track and has received praise for his performance.
