Hauwa

Hauwa Lawal, popularly known as ‘Hauwa,’ is a Nigerian digital creator, comic author, content strategist, and writer who rose to fame through her social media comic series.

Hauwa began her career in writing as a content creator and writer for the Nigerian comedic platform Kraks TV, where she spent four years refining her comedic and observational writing skills. She also worked with Zikoko as a creative writer, led social media and content at EdQuest Nigeria, and served as digital media lead at Pocket by PiggyVest.

In 2024, Hauwa fully pivoted to full-time content creation and began sharing her storytelling skills across her social platforms. She created the popular online comic and storytelling series ‘Hauwa’s Mad House’ and wrote a poetry book.

For her widespread influence and positive representation of Nigerian youth culture, The Future Awards Africa has recognised and honoured her.
