Francis Odega is a Nigerian comic actor, standup comedian and television personality. He came into the limelight after a scene from the movie series, 'Back From South Africa' hit the internet with notable people like Curtis '50 cent' Jackson and Tinie Tempah sharing the video clip on Instagram. The scene captures him comically saying 'Gerrarahere' in an American accent. After the video clip went viral, Francis signed an endorsement deal with telecommunications company Etisalat as its brand ambassador and recognition from other foreign celebrities.

Francis holds a bachelor's degree in Economics after graduating from Ambrose Alli University. He is one of the pioneering comedians of the popular Night Of A Thousand Laughs comedy show. In 2013, Francis won the "Best Actor" award alongside Hlomla Dandala in the "Best African Collaboration" category at the 2013 Ghana Movie Awards.

In 2019, another video went viral where Odega was heard saying he would stab his wife and his sister-in-law and won’t mind going to jail after that. In the same video published by Instablog9ja on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, the actor’s daughter, Success Odega pleaded with Nigerians to prevail over her father to pay her school fees.

The Nigerian Police responded with a statement that the actor would be investigated.
