Akachi Adimora-Ezeigbo is a Nigerian author and educator, whose published work includes novels, poetry, short stories, books for children, essays and journalism. She is the winner of several awards in Nigeria, including the Nigeria Prize for Literature. She is the author of several books, including novels, collections of short stories and children's books. Her 2011 novel Roses and Bullets has been described as one of the most captivating and realistic of Biafran war literature. Among the awards she has received in Nigeria is the Nigeria Prize for Literature, of which she was joint winner in 2007 for her children's book My Cousin Sammy
