Adeniyi Tayo

Temitayo Adeniyi (Shakyra) often referred to as Tayo Adeniyi is a Nollywood actress, writer, producer, and entrepreneur. She is known for writing and producing the Yoruba movie titled: "Shakyra" in 2016.Her acting career started back in 2009 when she enrolled for the Ifepade Theatre Group 3 years training program. She was still an undergraduate student then and managed to bend the training with her education. She first featured in a Nollywood movie when she took on a role in the Yoruba movie titled: "Ipinle Ese".In 2015, she took on her first lead role in a Nollywood movie when she featured in the movie titled: "Aliyah", directed by renowned actor, writer, and director Antar Laniyan and featured top Yoruba movie stars like Fausat Balogun (Madam Saje), Odunlade Adekola, Sola Kosoko, and Funsho Adeolu.The same year, she was nominated for the Best New Actress Of The Year (Yoruba category) in the City People Movie Awards. The award was eventually won by Tayo Sobola. In 2016, Temitayo Adeniyi (Shakyra) wrote and produced her first Yoruba movie with the movie titled: "Shakyra", directed by film director Abiodun Olanrewaju. The movie featured notable Yoruba movie superstars like Odunlade Adekola, Olaniyi Afonja (Sanyeri), and Soji Taiwo (Omo Banke).She is the owner of the beauty and skincare products line: Body Perfect Organics.She is the founder of Maytemview Entertainments a content and media productions company.
