Maryam Bukar Hassan,a.k.a Alhanislam, is a poet and an exponent of the spoken word, who has performed at major festivals and events including the Ake Arts and Book Festival, the Kaduna Book and Arts Festival, TEDx Argungu, NEXT LEVEL U.S.A and Sustainable development goals conferences. She is an activist on violence against women and children and has gained vast recognition her video on domestic violence, titled: ‘VIOLENCE HAS NO RELIGION’, which hit over 3.2million views on YouTube.She is the co founder of creative kiddies nigeria; A platform where kids are taught poetry,monologues,public speaking and spoken word. She is the C.E.O of VARIETEA which is a hand made tea brand dedicated to alleviating issues relating to mental health such as depression an anxiety.
