Afolarin Odunlami, professionally known as ‘Fola’, is a 25-year-old Nigerian singer-songwriter who rose to fame in 2022. Fola released his debut single in 2022, “Ginger Me”, which gained him fame and attention on social media; however, his breakout came in 2024 with his single ‘Alone’, which peaked at number 7 on the UK Afrobeats chart. It ranked number 7 on TheCable's top 10 radio picks.

In that same year, he released the remix of "Alone" featuring Bnxn, which charted at number 1 on the Nigeria Official Streaming Songs and number 4 on the TurnTable Top 10. A few days later, he signed a major-label recording contract with Dangbana Republik and went on to release his debut EP, which featured collaborations with Bella Shmurda, Magixx, Bnxn, and BhadBoi OML.

In 2025, his first EP, which featured Kizz Daniel, debuted at number 8 on the Official UK Afrobeats Charts, and in that same year he released his debut studio album ‘Catharis’. In January 2026, the single “Paparazzi” by Shoday and FOLA reached number 1 on the Official Nigeria Top 100 music chart, becoming their first No. 1 song in Nigeria and marking a major commercial achievement for both artists.

Fola’s appearances on songs by Ayra Starr, Davido, and many others have made him one of the most beloved featured artists of the year.
