Jay on Air

Joseph Onaolapo, professionally known as “Jay On Air,” is a Nigerian media personality, radio and TV broadcaster, actor, event host, and content creator.

Joseph’s career began in radio in 2012, where he hosted shows and conducted interviews with prominent figures in Nigerian entertainment and culture. In 2020, he went viral on social media during the lockdown by creating comedic skits that referenced popular Nigerian personalities or characters from everyday life. His most famous roles have come from portraying unique characters and recurring Nollywood archetypes, and over the last six years, Jay has built a successful career from what started as social media skit-making.

He made his way into traditional acting roles in 2025 on the romantic comedy film “Reel Love,” and in 2026, he appeared on “EVI” and “Wire Wire.” Joseph also created his own original web short series, which he put out on his digital platform, “The Finished Man.”

He has also worked as an event and TV host and is notable for his comedic flair and personality; he recently launched his own radio show, “Jay On Air,” where he invites celebrities and public figures to discuss important issues that affect the lives of Nigerians. Jay is also the founder of “Work Culture,” a community built for 9-5 workers in Nigeria and a growing communal bonding movement for workers there.
